Colon Cleansing : Not So Healthy, The Analysis Indicates
It 'was advertised as a natural way to improve your health and cleanse the soul. But doctors are finding a method known as colon cleansing can cause dangerous side effects.
Cleaning the colon, technically known as colon hydrotherapy or colonic irrigation, is a popular treatment, usually performed in spas. It often involves the use of chemicals in the body and hydrotherapy, the colon is cleaned with water through a tube inserted into the rectum.
But the home remedies are also available orally and has become popular, especially on the Internet. Now, researchers from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, say there is no evidence any of the cleaning and treatment of colon hurts, when used, can cause seizures, kidney failure and, in extreme cases, death.
"There may be serious consequences for those involved in colon cleansing, if they have the procedure done at a spa or run it at home," said lead author, Dr. Ranita Mishor, a doctor of family medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. "The cleaning of the colon in the form of laxatives, teas, powders and capsules ... all the benefits that do not exist."

Although colon cleansing has existed for centuries as a way to rid your body of unwanted toxins, the American Medical Association, founded in the 1900s that the procedure was invalid, and there was no evidence of working methods. Female moose may be able to manipulate male lovers - promoting fights between male competitors by groans.
It was known that women are "cry of protest" in response to courtship.
Researchers have now discovered that women complain more when they approach less than men and that this aggression is triggered by several males.
Scientists believe that women have more control over the choice of partner than previously thought.
A team led by Dr. Terry Bowyer of Idaho State University in the United States conducted the study in Denali National Park and Preserve, Alaska.
